Our story.

It all started as a way to help my little dog see out of the car window.

I first thought of making a Car-Boot Box when I was trying to find a way of stopping my dog (Pepper) from being sick in the car.

I had her in a cage in the car boot, but she was sick on every trip. I then realised that she couldn’t see out of the window and, as someone who suffers from motion sickness myself, it was like being below deck on a boat.

If I could find some sort of platform for her to sit on she would be able to see out of the window, and perhaps it would help cure her travel sickness?

I searched the web and found nothing, so I decided to design and make something myself.

The first prototype box fixed Pepper’s travel sickness immediately. Once she could see out the window she stopped being sick. The only problem was the box was solid and couldn’t be broken down. This made it very heavy and difficult to get in and out of the car.

There had to be a better way!.

Many prototypes later, and after hundreds of road miles of testing for rattles, I’ve ended up with the finished product I have today.

I’ve had great feedback from people who have seen it. I can’t believe the number of times I’ve been stopped and asked, where did you get your box from?

All this positive feedback made me realise that there was a market for my box. The boxes are now available to buy and are manufactured and distributed from our workshop in Bristol.

I’m looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me.
